about

Alexander Kohnke’s work observes and visualizes the underlying, crude forces that often guide our fate unbeknownst to us. Using a wide range of media and armed with a keen aesthetic and a sense of humor, Alex works in drawing, photography, printmaking and video to create work that is deeply personal, but shows how we are all connected.

His graphic design practice with Shiffman&Kohnke focuses on artist’s books and branding projects, mostly in the cultural and sports fields.
