Hotels/Motels, December 15th/16th 2017

Fun was had. Thank you for having me Eric Wong, and Vanguard Culture! “Hotels/Motels (Unofficial Art Fair 2017), presents emerging and established artists who are working in a wide-range of media and disciplines. Artists from all over San Diego and Los Angeles, will transform hotel rooms into galleries, stages, and project spaces. In addition, to this carefully selected group of visual and performing artists, Hotels Motels, will be joined by partnering artist collectives, contemporary art galleries, and cultural organizations. Each of their rooms will embody a unique life of its own that reflects the design of the artist and curator.”

“Unnatural Selection” at SDAI’s Potluck Mythodologies

(Melissa Walter‘s work exploring dark matter to the left, Unnatural selection on the right)     Potluck Mythodologies taking place at SDAI Project Space in in Horton Plaza will be the third and final installment of events happening in conjunction with the exhibition Boiling Process 5: Mythodologies currently on display at SDAI Balboa Park. The featured artists in the main exhibition work in a variety of media, and this series of events has hopefully provided a glimpse into the multi-faceted nature of their bodies of work, and expand upon ideas and themes explored in this project. Potluck Mythodologies will feature an assortment of food art created and shared by artists from San Diego, Tijuana and Los Angeles including Mexican Sushi by Cacahuates Japoneses, Cryopops by Elyse Reardon-Jung, Artisanal Bread by Lena Wolek, and an edible installation by elsoldelrac.
